Shire Log Cabins
Shire log cabins are available in 4 thicknesses of logs, 28mm, 34mm, 44mm and 70mm.
In our experience the majority of cabins up to 3 metre’s in width or depth are either 28mm or 34mm. We have found that if a cabin exceeds 3 metre’s then the wall tends to have to much flex in it, using thicker logs this becomes virtually non existent. Also the insulation properties of the thicker logs are much better. Any building over 3 metre’s ideally should be constructed of logs 44mm or above.
